Budget Disappointment
29 April 2009
Comment from Tim Bonham...
I'm really disappointed that nowhere in the Chancellor's Budget is there anything about abolishing empty property rates. The empty rates taxation will continue to see buildings costing their owners a huge amount whilst properties sit empty, or even worse demolished. This harsh tax impacts hugely on the property sector at the wrong time and the industry has been lobbying the Government hard on the issue, but it looks like we have been ignored.
