2010-07-15 : Ruddle Merz London Supports Business Hit By Crossrail Disruption
Crossrail is the new high frequency railway for London and the South East which is due to open in 2017.
As part of its on-going commitment to reducing Business Rates liabilities for clients, the Ruddle Merz London team is taking up the challenge of the new Crossrail scheme in the City. Crossrail is expected to bring economic benefits to many London boroughs worth around £1.24 billion.
Many London Businesses with Rateable Values of over £55,000, are being hit - firstly by an Annual Business Rate Supplement (BRS), and secondly by major disruptions due to the construction project currently underway. Ruddle Merz is already acting on behalf of a number of businesses in the City who are in the midst of huge disruptions caused by the construction work.
Sarah Davey, who heads up Ruddle Merz London, comments; "We are looking at a number of appeals focusing on the material change in their circumstances, because a large number of businesses are being severely impacted by noise and road works due to Crossrail construction. This adversely effects their operation and the value of their properties."
Contact RM London on 020 3058 1130 or email london@ruddlemerz.co.uk if your business is affected by Crossrail.
