2009-03-24 : RUDDLE MERZ NEW HOME IN LINE FOR AWARD
Oakham Office Park has been entered into the prestigious RICS East Midlands Design Awards. This reflects not only its outstanding visual design but also its green credentials and innovative working environment.
Enthusiasm for the RICS Awards, the most prestigious prize UK property, has reached new highs with a record number of projects being submitted for the East Midlands Awards 2009.

Representing a full spectrum of organisations and projects across the region, the 20 entrants range from small schemes built by the vision and persistence of one person, to multi-million pound nationally recognised developments. Entries have been submitted from universities, local governments, private sector developers and regional bodies.
The awards celebrate the best new projects in the built environment and the 2009 winners will join a long line of inspirational building projects.
Judging will take place during spring 2009 and the winners will be announced at a gala dinner and awards ceremony on Thursday 7 May. The winning projects will then go on to compete in the grand final of the RICS international awards set to be held in London in October.
David Potter, RICS East operations director, said: "With a record number of entries this year the competition is even stronger. The 2008 awards raised the benchmark in all categories and this year's successful entrants will need to prove that their schemes demonstrate excellence within their specific category.
"RICS members are a vital link in delivering a low carbon built environment. Increasing economic return, sustaining the natural environment and protecting social values are not incompatible. The RICS awards provide a perfect opportunity to demonstrate this in action."
